ST Abogados was founded in 1953 in central Buenos Aires, when Dr. Jacobo Selser opened the firm at Talcahuano 464, Ground Floor Suite A (CABA). From the outset, the focus was criminal law: direct handling of case files, emergency matters and procedural decisions with real-world consequences.

When the Buenos Aires City Bar Association (CPACF) was established, his licence was registered in Volume 1 (Folio 939) of the CPACF — a marker of professional longevity that reflects continuity from the Bar’s very inception, which has now issued over 150 volumes.

Over time, the second generation — Italo Selser — built on that foundation and extended the firm’s reach into civil and commercial law, maintaining the same standard: rigorous technical judgement, procedural strategy and direct client contact.

Today the firm is led by Dr. Jacobo Iván Selser. His practice combines legal tradition and criminal law doctrine with a technical edge suited to modern litigation: forensic analysis of digital evidence and metadata, which proves decisive in complex criminal strategy, cybercrime, fraud, expert proceedings and the validation of electronic evidence — safeguarding the rights of both the accused and victims, depending on the matter in question.
