Strategic Profile: Criminal Law and Engineering Applied to High-Stakes Complex Cases
Dr. Selser combines deep expertise in Criminal Law Doctrine with a solid background in Electronic Engineering (UTN) and extensive hands-on experience in the telecommunications sector. This dual profile strengthens the defence in cases where the prosecution relies on complex evidence: expert reports, intrusive investigative measures, CCTV footage, geolocation, metadata and chain of custody.
In an era of technical, technological and AI-driven evidence, traditional criminal defence is no longer sufficient. That is why Dr. Selser conducts forensic audits of criminal case files. While other lawyers merely read the case file, at Selser, Testa & Asoc. we rigorously scrutinise traceability, temporal consistency, procedural legality and the quality of expert evidence — building strategies for each hearing, for oral trial proceedings and for appeals, all to the highest evidentiary standards.
In a criminal process increasingly structured around in-person hearings, the outcome is determined by oral advocacy, not written submissions alone. A criminal lawyer must therefore not only know how to build a case theory, control evidence and conduct the examination and cross-examination of witnesses and expert witnesses — they must also be able to deploy those skills in the courtroom. For this reason, Dr. Selser has oriented his practice towards the dynamics of trial: he specialised in Criminal Oral Litigation (UBA), prepares hearings and appeals strategically, and also works as a lecturer, training law students in litigation skills through mock oral trials.
Measurable Differentiators: How High-Stakes Criminal Cases Are Defended Today
Comprehensive Evidence Control
Forensic audit of expert reports, timelines, metadata, CCTV footage, telecommunications records and chain of custody. Every strategy is built on what can be verified.
Oral Litigation and Hearings
Tactical preparation for every hearing: case theory, objections, examination and cross-examination, and real-time evidence control.
Early-Stage Strategy (48 hrs)
In emergencies: assessment of procedural status, assistance to the detained person, review of official records and warrants, evidence preservation and a defence plan for critical hearings.
